Working with a nationally recognised manufacturer, Futures are recruiting a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.
The role has been designed by the business to manage all aspects of health, safety, and environment and to ensure the site maintains a good level of health and safety awareness while working towards net zero by 2050.
Responsibilities:
1. Advise on statutory changes in health and safety legislation.
2. Ensure all legislative requirements are met.
3. Responsible for the coaching of HRS Waste water treatment.
4. Monitor and evaluate health and safety performance against KPIs and report to group and site.
5. Ensure the site's fire prevention precautions are complied with and review fire risk assessments.
6. Ensure that risk assessments/safe systems of work requirements are met.
7. Liaise with site HR and Training Officer to ensure operational training complies with Health and Safety legislation.
8. Deliver and work with the site on achieving recognised accreditations for Health and Safety/Environment.
9. Deliver the 4P's Health and Safety process.
10. Proactively work with other areas of the business to develop SHE culture.
11. Manage and investigate environmental complaints from third parties.
12. Manage the site overhead waste treatment.
13. Negotiate environmental service agreements/contracts.
14. Proactively develop regular SHE reports.
With a proven track record in health and safety management backed up with IEMA and NEBOSH qualifications, the successful candidate will ideally come from a manufacturing/FMCG environment. You will need to have experience of SHE management processes within a manufacturing environment and experience with environmental management systems.
They will be able to demonstrate the ability to control budgets, communicate effectively with all areas of the business, and concentrate on continuous improvement initiatives.
