Dutt Transport is a privately owned leading national logistics provider of specialised fixtures, fittings and equipment solutions. Dutt has depots and vehicles in all states of the mainland to enable the provision of high-quality services on an end to end basis across transportation, container receipt, storage, warehouse pick and pack, project management, supervision and on-site services. Our head office is in Kilsyth, Melbourne where this role will be based.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and taking an active and hands-on role in working daily with the Finance, Operations and Sales teams and many people external to the business. This role is a permanent full-time role with the main responsibilities initially including:
* Setting up new employees and departing employees in our Attache and HumanForce payroll applications,
* Processing weekly the payroll for casual and permanent employees,
* Weekly and monthly payroll related reporting and processing of statutory obligations, including payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and WorkCover,
* Chasing up collection of Accounts Receivable and resolving any claims, and
* Ad hoc projects from time to time.
The candidate
It is envisaged that the suitable candidate will have relevant payroll experience, ideally using Attache’ software and an ability to interpret payroll awards. Having some accounts receivable experience in a medium-sized business would also be beneficial. The suitable candidate will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, show attention to detail in getting the tasks of the job completed in a timely and accurate manner and also have the ability to build strong relationships with all people inside and outside of the business.
