We are looking for a passionate creative artist to join our supportive and talented team at Digitech Studio School. We are an established studio school who prides itself in offering an innovative curriculum that leads into the creative, digital, and high-tech sectors. We are looking for professional, ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students' learning.
DIGITECH STUDIO SCHOOL
Digitech delivers a specialised curriculum for 14-19 year-olds, where we offer progression into the creative digital and high-tech sectors. We are located in Warmley, on the outskirts of Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Studio schools are small by design, and we only take 90 students into each year group. This allows us to meet the needs of individual students in a personalised way.
Digitech Studio School has been on an enormous improvement journey over the last few years which has seen outcomes consistently improve year on year with all indicators. The academy is diverse in its intake and proud that we serve all of the families in our community. There is real pride from colleagues that they work at Digitech Studio School and contribute to a cause greater than themselves.
The Creative Arts Department is seeking a dynamic and skilled educator to join our team. We offer a diverse range of artistic subjects, where we aim to develop skills.
At KS4, students can opt for up to two subjects from Fine Art, Graphics, and Photography. At KS5, students specialise further through a Multi Disciplinary Art qualification, combined with a second vocational course. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to our growing team. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to teach one or more subjects based on their expertise and experience. The role will involve teaching both KS4 and KS5 students, depending on the candidate's subject preference and student allocation.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
1. Understanding and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator essential.
2. Knowledge of Blender 3D advantageous, but not essential.
3. Familiarity with EDUQAS and Cambridge Technical advantageous but not required as training and professional development will be provided.
4. A specialism in Photography, Fine Art or Graphics would be an advantage.
We would also consider applications from unqualified teachers, who would be supported to gain QTS.
Full details are contained with the attached job description and person specification.
The academy welcomes visits from potential candidates. If you would like to arrange a school visit prior to the closing date, please contact the academy directly to arrange a suitable appointment.
