The role of a Street Scene Enforcement Officer deals with a wide range of environmental crime. As a candidate, you will have knowledge of developing case files for prosecutions and be an independent and self-motivated individual. You will be able to undertake face-to-face interactions with people and be confident in issuing fixed penalty notices, conducting investigations, and attending court. Enforcement Officer e ssential criteria: Essential - Good working knowledge and understanding of Criminal legal processes for obtaining and securing evidence from interviews, witnessing and physical evidence. Essential- Good working knowledge of compiling criminal cases for prosecution Essential: knowledge of current Statutory environmental legislation, including acts of Parliament, Regulations and Codes of Practice covering environmental crime and nuisance. Essential: knowledge of Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) Essential: knowledge of Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) Starting Salary £32,544 per annum, with opportunity for progression to £35,856 Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week) Due to the nature of the role and the responsibilities, the post holder will be expected to attain and maintain police vetting.
