You will manage all aspects of the Rolls Royce Manoeuvring Room Trainer contract. Manage all aspects of the simulators as well as working with the project team to manage any major upgrades. Job title: Training Equipment Engineering Manager Job Description: What you’ll be doing: Providing a single point of contact for defects and maintenance of simulators Being the liaison between the Training Management Group and Rolls Royce Managing any specific risks and ensuring the team are taking the correct mitigating action that has been agreed Managing a monthly/quarterly sub-contract review Analysing Key Performance Indicator data and inferring engineering issues ahead of time Ensuring sufficient resources and stock levels are provided Managing safety documentation What we’re looking for: An experienced engineering professional, preferably in the naval defence environment Hold a relevant engineering qualification with appropriate experience Experience of Submarine simulators Experience in a military training environment – in particular, the submarine environment, would be beneficial Experience of maintaining safe working environments Must be able to gain UK SC clearance About Project Selborne: Project Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN.
