Production Supervisor Alternity Biogas Energy Ltd (ABEL), operates an Anaerobic Digestion and Bio-methane/ CNG production site at our Lisburn Head Quarters. Our vision is to drive our world Award winning circular economy model, where we create energy from waste to feed our CNG Gas powered trucks. We have an opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our ABEL Team at Lisburn. The role of the Production Supervisor is to assist with the efficient running of the ABEL food waste operations during the shift and to meet the needs of the business. You report directly to the Plant Manager and will be directly responsible for leading a team of general operatives. About The Role Duties Include: Assist with receiving food waste deliveries and ensuring production is carried out. Supervision of a team to ensure they are carrying out their roles effectively, and meeting the processing targets expected for the shift. Motivate, encourage and give feedback to the employees on shift for continuous improvement. Ensure all documentation is completed and up to date on your shift for audit purposes. Complete training with new employees and implement further employee training when required. Assist in Maintenance related tasks and duties if required and determine competent and capable through upskilling and regulatory practices. Communicate effectively through shift handovers. Unpacking and sorting of any deliveries. Loading of food waste into processing plant. Operate forklift as and when required. Operate telehandler for any site duties. Operating of food waste processing machinery. Maintaining, flushing and cleaning of processing machinery. Carry out daily checks on plant and machinery when required. Assist with the maintaining of the site through washing and cleaning cycles and patterns to maintain set standards. Requirements: Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a production environment. Good interpersonal, written, literacy and team skills Forklift & Telehandler Licence preferred. Flexible to work to the needs of the business. Keen to learn, develop and progress into the position, keen interest in the process. Hours of work: Day shift 45 hours per week Benefits: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour DOE. Overtime availability Additional Annual Leave (Service Based). Matched employee / employer pension contribution 5%.
