Rates: £54.15 UMB or £40.90 PAYE per hour. For each day travelled to site, a £100 per diem Umbrella/£85.80 per diem PAYE is payable to workers travelling more than 30 miles to site (taxable).

Main Purpose:
The role exists to develop and implement site quality arrangements across all aspects of site activities (e.g. Installation, Commissioning, Operations) in support of the overall project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that activities (e.g. audits) are undertaken to establish the implementation status of quality arrangements and report such information.
2. Develop and implement site quality arrangements.
3. Proactively support and advise on all aspects of quality on site, including risks and issues.
4. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
5. Ensure quality requirements are defined and implemented as part of the site induction and training process.
6. Establish effective communication channels with Customers (internal and external) and Suppliers.
7. Develop and implement appropriate auditing arrangements associated with site activities, both internally and externally (e.g. Suppliers).
8. Manage and close out any site quality non-conformances/issues.
9. Review and approve Supplier quality arrangements in accordance with site/project requirements, including Customer approvals.
10. Monitor progress against the site quality arrangements, identifying areas of concern and escalate to Line Management as necessary.
11. Liaise with Customers to understand their requirements/expectations for quality assurance, quality control, and inspection.
12. Review enquiry, tender, and contract documentation with respect to customers’ quality requirements and contract specifications.
13. Undertake quality planning, including the preparation of site quality documentation and writing site specific procedures/local working instructions.
14. Liaise with site subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that quality and specification requirements are understood.
15. Review purchase requisitions/purchase orders for quality requirements input.
16. Participate in site/project meetings and contract review/handover meetings.
17. Ensure the requirements for site lifetime records are clearly identified and maintained.
18. Carry out supplier assessments.
19. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities in line with site Inspection & Test Plans and associated completion check sheets.
Knowledge:
1. Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry and Nuclear License Conditions.
2. Good working knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation.
3. Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements.
4. Good working knowledge and application of ISO 9001.
5. Knowledge of site construction completions systems e.g. OCCMS.
6. Knowledge of Configuration Management Practices.
Experience:
1. Experience of Nuclear Construction Site Work.
2. CSCS card holder.
3. Experience of Drafting ITP’s and construction Installation, Test & Commissioning check sheets.

Other:
1. Ideally qualified to a HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject e.g. engineering.
2. Have valid inspection certificates e.g. (CSWIP, C&G, PCN).
