My client based in South Yorkshire is looking for an M&E Project Manager within the retail sector on a full-time basis\n\nJob Role\n\nThe role of the Project Manager is to provide management & direction to Supervisors with a team of engineers / specialist sub−contractors.\n\nYou will be responsible for ensuring Supervisors, Operatives and Subcontractors are compliant from a technical perspective from commencement to completion of works, providing support to them as is reasonably required,\n\nassisting with the day-to-day running of the team, creating and hitting daily objectives, as well as being part of running small projects.\n\nThere may be some “out of hours” work being attendance to site and managing projects, being available to support when you know these are on site.\n\nThere will be an opportunity for you to progress your own skills within the company.\n\nThe role also requires you to ensure that all activities are in line with the Health and Safety procedures\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Ensure all the team, operatives and specialist sub−contractors are maintaining a high level of Health and Safety.\n\n * Minimise exposure and risk across projects.\n\n * Plan and manage the team’s departmental activities in accordance with the agreed budgets and timescales and within policies and standards.\n\n * Manage project scope and implementation of change control strategy and escalate where necessary.\n\n * Set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound (SMART) targets for all team members (all based on achieving the company’s overall business objectives).\n\n * Manage and set directions for all reporting staff, ensuring regular formal open forums take place with all team members in respect of all aspects of the team’s performance against agreed targets.\n\n * Develop relevant personal skills and capability through planning and attending training courses, subject to Business approval.\n\n * Undertake Site surveys using Site Audit Pro or similar formats to produce reports and attend meetings with clients on behalf of the company.\n\n * Develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to all operational activities.\n\n * Engage and manage subcontract resource.\n\n * Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan.\n\n * Organise work groups and team meetings. Cross reference scope of works and bill of materials/standard quote templates with original scope of works and quotation and escalate any variances.\n\n * Act as a liaison to the relevant team/department Manager\n\n * Work closely with customer representatives to ensure the project is delivering agreed outputs.\n\n * Analyse and review working practices in line with procedures in a professional and positive manner\n\n * Time management\n\n * Become familiar with Client Portals, ensure distribution of information therein to Supervisors and Operatives as applicable.\n\nRequirements\n\n * Multi Skilled − Electrical Bias, knowledge of Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Access control and Nurse Call System would be advantageous.\n\n * Change management.\n\n * PC Literate with Microsoft office software packages.\n\n * Apprentice Trained/NVQ 3 minimum\n\n * Qualified in the following:\n\nLevel 3 Electrical Installation Apprentice trained or above.\n\nIET Wiring Regulations, Eighteenth Edition, BS 7671:2018 (Electrical Regulations)\n\nElectrical Inspection and Testing C&G 2391−52 or equivalent. NICEIC QS Experience.\n\nLevel 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Systems C&G 2396 or equivalent.\n\n * Advantageous but not necessary Qualification and/or working knowledge of: BS 5266 Emergency Lighting\n\nBS 5839 Fire Alarms BMS\n\nAccess control systems.\n\nSalary £55k + £5K Car Allowance\n\nIf interested please contact Nathan at F&E Recruitment
