Therapeutic Care Worker
Location: Cuddington
Salary: £12.00 per hour unqualified, £12.65 per hour qualified plus sleep in rate
Hours: Typically 2 days on 4 off – Ave 40hrs per week over the course of a month.

We are currently looking for people who are enthusiastic, patient and have a passion to make a difference. The right person would have a big heart to provide care and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 8-17 years.
Key Duties
1. Providing exceptional high levels of care and support to young people throughout their day.
2. Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower children and young people.
3. Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable.
4. Perform general day-to-day activities and tasks.
5. Helping develop their learning and social skills wherever possible.
Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for highly motivated, hardworking child-centred people who want to make a genuine difference in the children and young people’s lives that we work with. You will require excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. While the work is rewarding, it is also very challenging and therefore you must be able to work well under stress and in difficult situations. Previous experience would be highly beneficial, though it is not essential. What is more important to us is that you can demonstrate the right attitude and want to make a difference.
Successful candidates must be:
1. Willing to go the extra mile
2. Ability to drive (company cars when on shift)
3. Be prepared to complete a QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Funded by Eden Children Services)
4. Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
5. Excellent communication skills (in record keeping, with colleagues and young people)
6. Resilient under pressure and able to cope in stressful situations
7. Have a creative and supportive approach in order to meet the needs of the children and young people
8. Ability to work on a rota pattern including weekends and bank holidays
