Operations Manager Artemis Human Capital are working with a leading manufacturing firm as they enter a phase of growth. They are seeking an Operations Manager, who will sit on the leadership team, and maximise performance across their Value Streams. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operational efficiency while challenging the status quo. You will oversee all operational activities, working cross-functionally to optimise processes, maintain compliance, and uphold company core values. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Champion the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices through proactive risk management and compliance. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the companys vision and growth objectives. Drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in collaboration with senior leadership. Team Management Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and technical experts. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support professional development and succession planning. Process Optimisation Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and workflow enhancements. Implement best practices across production, logistics, quality control, and maintenance. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence. Risk & Compliance Management Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and operational risk mitigation. Develop contingency plans and proactively address operational challenges. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, and other departments to align operational goals. Facilitate seamless communication and drive cross-functional initiatives for overall business success. Financial Oversight Strategically manage financial performance to exceed budget targets and optimise revenue streams. Foster a culture of value creation and drive sustainable, long-term growth. Oversee operational budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditures, reporting key performance insights to senior leadership. Criteria Degree educated in a relevant field. 10 years recent middle management experience in manufacturing/ engineering/ other relevant field, experience. Working knowledge of complex planning.
