Senior Quantity Surveyor – Joinery

About our Client:
Our client holds a reputable name within the London Construction sector, offering a one stop solution for bespoke joinery and carpentry by undertaking projects from Design, Production, and Installation. This company has established an impressive portfolio of repeat clients working with the capitals Top Contractors, such as Multiplex, Sir Robert McAlpine and the Berkeley Group. Working with these Clients, they notably feature on flagship construction schemes, however they also work on prestigious super prime works which include Windsor Castle, giving them a diverse range of projects and sectors covered.
About the opportunity:
A great opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to work within a driven environment, hungry for success. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects on carpentry and joinery projects. Working in tandem with joinery workshop manager & directors to ensure the in-house capability is there to produce items from tenders. Adhere and engage with the Quality Management system and other company procedures as appropriate.
About the requirements:
1. Experience in joinery either from a trade background or in your current Quantity Surveying or Estimating position.
2. Must have technical knowledge of joinery components, finishes and manufacturing techniques.
3. Have the ability to identify why client designed joinery will not work as drawn.
4. Valuations / Variations
5. Sub-Contractor Management
6. Client facing
7. Contractually aware
8. History and track record with settling final accounts.
9. Happy to work as a valuable part of a small office team.
10. Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
11. Adaptable and able to identify work priorities and manage own workload, able to change with business needs.
About the Salary / Package:
This is a permanent position based at the office/workshop, with the opportunity to develop further within this business. Salary ranges from £60,000 to £80,000 depending on experience and skill set, with a generous bonus scheme subject to performances.
