What You’ll Do
As our Health, Safety, and Environmental specialist, you'll ensure that all necessary Health, Safety, and Environmental measures are in place across VBSE. You'll be involved in every phase of our projects and services, acting as the go-to expert for ensuring compliance and safety.
You will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and implementing new and existing safety documentation in accordance with VFUK policy. This includes safety case reports, safety management plans, and VBSE Risk Assessments. Additionally, you will provide specialist advice on safety arrangements and manage internal investigations based on HSE audits, quarterly site returns, and near-miss incidents.
Your role will also involve assessing the impact of equipment changes and advising internal personnel, customer safety teams, and senior management on safety matters. Furthermore, you will be responsible for all VBSE Health & Safety requirements, including Risk Assessments and VBSE Site Health & Safety checks.
Lastly, you will work closely with the central HSE team to ensure best practices are followed within the organization.
Who You Are
You possess extensive knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, including workplace safety practices, hazard identification and assessment, incident investigations, and reporting. Your background in providing technical advice and delivering safety products or services within regulated industries showcases your expertise in this field.
Your excellent interpersonal and team-working skills enable you to communicate effectively and influence others. As a Chartered Member of IOSH or someone working towards this qualification, you bring a high level of professionalism and dedication to your role.
Additionally, you have experience working within secure environments and understand the importance of adhering to security policies. Your good level of ICT skills further supports your ability to perform effectively in this role.
Security Clearance: This position requires the person to hold or to be eligible to undergo UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
