Mechanical, Electrical and Civils Site Supervisor
Contract Duration: 6 month contract

Supplying renewable energy from solar power plants enables local communities to reduce costs and their carbon footprint. It also means they can provide off-grid power in remote areas that can be sold back to the grid or used locally at a cheaper price than grid-supplied energy.
Description:
The main duty of the Supervisor is to oversee repair and installation work conducted by the contractor throughout the project. The Supervisor conducts inspections, ensures that safety procedures are being adhered to, and maintains inventory of installation parts.
You will be responsible for:
1. Examination of design drawings and specifications.
2. Issuing Requests for Information to designers.
3. Raising Technical Queries on design as required.
4. Providing technical assistance to the contractor.
5. Fluency with Inventory and Materials Management concepts, such as inventory control and analysis, material lead times, cost analysis, and usage analysis.
6. Project scheduling assistance.
7. Reviewing project planning and scheduling for projects during the construction phase, identifying any construction slippages, and assisting in optimizing the contractor's resources.
8. Liaising and coordinating with different discipline Supervisors, Project Engineers, End Users, Asset Holders, and other relevant departments.
9. Inspecting and reporting on the condition, completeness, or suitability of equipment purchases or about to be purchased for the use of the department and making recommendations where required.
10. Raising Non-Conformance Reports on sub-standard equipment and installations.
11. Developing and implementing standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.
12. Recording contractor installation and providing feedback to the Site Manager.
Experience:
1. 7+ years of supervisory experience preferably within the renewables sector.
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project.
3. Trade Qualified in an Engineering / Technical discipline.
4. Extensive exposure to construction activities within a renewables/heavy industrial environment.
5. Ability to develop and mentor team members.
