Oxclose Community Academy is a successful academy that is proud to be part of Washington and our local community. Within the academy we are very lucky to have a purpose built, state of the art, Performing Arts department with a double height dance studio, music teaching room with technology, along with a suite of 8 practice rooms and a baby Grand Piano. We have a sound room, ‘The Drum’ – a mini theatre, a multipurpose drama space and a full theatre that connects to a green room.
At Oxclose our focus for Performing Arts is in vocational qualifications providing specialised training and practical experience to help our students develop skills and knowledge that are valued by employers
This position would suit a music teacher looking to become a head of a department or an existing head of department wanting to make a difference in our vibrant academy and community with fantastic performing arts facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching music and be an outstanding practitioner, with an unwavering commitment to the highest standards for teaching and learning.
