Health & Safety Manager – Major Infrastructure Project
£75,000 plus car/car allowance
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a team delivering a new substation construction project in Suffolk. This project is part of a larger initiative supporting offshore wind energy, contributing to the UK's transition to renewable energy and net-zero targets.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Project Director, the Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong safety culture, focusing on accident prevention and compliance with health & safety regulations. The project includes earthworks, road and junction construction, reinforced concrete structures, and steel-framed superstructures to facilitate the integration of renewable energy into the National Grid.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and uphold health & safety standards in line with industry regulations and best practices.
2. Conduct site audits and proactively address any safety concerns.
3. Oversee site induction processes, ensuring all personnel receive up-to-date safety briefings.
4. Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, sharing lessons learned to improve safety measures.
