You are a self-motivated, multi skilled individual who takes great pride in their work and loves nothing more than a bit of DIY,
grounds maintenance and ensuring that a site runs like clockwork. With a focus on delivering a first-class facility for the
community, members and partners that visit every day. You'll work closely with the Campus site team with a focus around ensuring
our facilities are well kept, maintained and secure for all to enjoy.
We have contracts of various hours for these roles. You will be given the opportunity to state your preferred amount of weekly
hours whilst completing the application process.
As a Campus Caretaker/Cleaner a typical day might include:
* You will carry out regular Inspections of the Campus including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they
are in good working order and ensure that if there are any issues that these are resolved or reported immediately.
* You will have a good eye for detail and if you see anything amiss you will perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as
required. If there is something more specialist that is required you will be the key person on site to source, book and
supervise contractors for major repairs.
* Cleaning the building at times to support the cleaning team to ensure Campus is always pristine for our visitors. Including the
supervision and monitoring of cleaning materials, tools, furniture and reordering as required.
* Campus is fortunate to be set on a beautiful site, therefore someone who has pride in ensuring all our outdoor spaces are well
kept and maintained is essential. Gardening and performing landscaping duties or supervising contractors who do so will be a
key part to this role.
* Having site security responsibility, you will be a main key holder and will open the building at the start of the day and
ensure all doors and windows are locked and alarms are set when not in operation.
* Working closely with the wider Campus team you will play a key part in ensuring that everyone who interacts with us on Campus
receives the best experience. Therefore, having a customer focused outlook and cheery disposition is paramount to this post, as
you will be a familiar face to all and a key member of the team. You will be the eyes and ears on site, which will support in
the development of our future facilities and offer.
Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you:
* You are experienced in carrying out general DIY jobs, with an in-depth understanding of maintenance procedures.
* You can work well with others in a team environment, contractors and suppliers. Whilst always having a focus on customer
experience.
* You can problem-solve and address any safety and maintenance concerns.
* Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills for giving instructions to contractors and support teams
* Experience of maintaining a site or set of buildings to a high standard and spec. Whilst always ensuring security and safety of
people on site is key.
* A good awareness of safety and ability to implement Health & Safety regulations.
* A flexible approach to work and the ability to meet challenges and adapt to change.
* Be self-motivated, reliable and professional.
