The Dorset Centre of Excellence, which includes Coombe House School, has a new position supporting the Head of Safeguarding, AP, Welfare, and Attendance, with key responsibilities aligning with providing operational support to allow them to focus on strategic and leadership priorities. This position offers challenge, variety and learning opportunities and will be a pivotal role at the heart of our school. In this role you will Assist in managing child protection records and liaising with external agencies. Support safeguarding meetings and ensure accurate documentation. Monitor behaviour and attendance data, identifying trends and supporting interventions. Work closely with staff, families, and external partners to provide the best possible support for pupils. Help coordinate alternative provision (AP) referrals and ensure pupil engagement is monitored. Provide key administrative support for safeguarding, behaviour, and attendance functions. A requirement of the role is to be a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), for which training is provided. It is essential that you are highly proficient in using Management Information Systems (e.g. Arbor), have excellent IT skills (MS 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel and Word) to maintain and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and effective usage. We are looking for someone who will bring enthusiasm, initiative, good humour and a clear appreciation of our main purpose to serve the needs of all young people. Salary/Contract: Term time, working 37 hours and 41 weeks (to include 2 weeks in the summer holiday). Actual salary is between £25,457.55 pa and £28,073.96 pa.
