Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Building Division in Coulport.
What are we looking for:
1. Civil engineering background preferred, due to the extensive civil work involved
2. Candidates with extensive civil experience but limited Project Management experience will be considered, as MOD projects progress at a slower pace, providing an opportunity to learn on the job
3. HND or higher qualification
4. Resides within a one-hour drive from Coulport
5. Holds SMSTS and CSCS cards
6. Must be willing and able to undergo MOD security clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion, while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and expectations.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to optimize project outcomes.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and innovation on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
- Cultivate strong client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
