About the team
The Pricing Analytics team has a unique identity as a team of skilled analytical specialists; we work to support our commercial function as they look to continuously improve the offering we provide to our customers. This team drives continuous improvements by deep diving into the reasons behind our market competitiveness and our product offering to put forward actionable recommendations that through working directly with our insurance partners leads to measurable business value.
The Pricing Analytics team also works with our outward facing Insight function to provide our expertise to our insurance partners, where we’ve been delivering market-leading data services on behalf of since its inception in 2012. Our analytical expertise regularly assists insurance partners from across the UK and beyond to make the best decisions for their business. Our success is creating new opportunities for innovative and talented industry professionals to join us at a pivotal point in our development.
About the role
We’re looking for an Analyst to utilise their knowledge and experience to produce detailed, compelling and actionable analysis to drive positive change for and its customers. In this role you’ll receive training, support and the exposure required to further develop both your technical and industry understanding. As part of this role you will also have the freedom to experiment with new techniques, concepts and products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Analyst to showcase their investigative analytical skills on a daily basis, bring new thought and ideas to the forefront of the team, while also building positive and productive relationships with others in the industry.
What you’ll be doing:
* Creating compelling, actionable and high-value bespoke analysis through data mining, data visualisation techniques & storytelling
* Investigating all available sources of information to recommend changes to optimise our insurance panel across multiple products
* Provide analytical support to our insurance partners, including evaluating key aspects of our partner’s’ performance, such as conversion, ancillary take-up, and rate analysis
* Collaborating with colleagues from across the business to deliver key projects
* Contributing to industry events
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with data, ideally in the financial services sector
* Experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
* Experience using data visualisation tools (Tableau or PowerBI)
* Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python / R
* Proven track record working with key stakeholders
* Strong presentation skills, including the ability to tell stories with data
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
