MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering exclusively with a new entrant to the NI market in their search for a lead software engineer. This is the perfect opportunity for a hands-on software engineer with future ambitions to move into engineering management. The company operate in an interesting space - touching on IOT, Connected Devices and Data and Analytics and boast some fo the world's largest organisations as trusted customers. This is primarily a hands-on, individual contributor role (80% split in hands on development, to 20% management) but will give you the opportunity to hone your management skills and experience and lead a small, growing software development team in NI.
Please note, this is a hybrid role (1-2 days a week) based in Greater Belfast area - with free parking!

Who we're looking for
You'll be a seasoned software engineer with commercial exposure to working with Java (or Kotlin), AWS and JavaScript (Typescript, React or Angular)
You'll have some management, mentorship or team lead experience recently (You'll be acting as a line manager for 2-4 engineers in your first year).
Any exposure to IOT would be highly advantageous, along with working with MongoDB, Elasticsearch and high performance computing.
Salary
Up to £80,000 with package which includes private healthcare, enhanced pension contribution, income protection.
