Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for table service to residents and guests. Perform duties in compliance with established Company policies and procedures and in a professional manner.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills
2. Greet residents warmly and take their food order.
3. Deliver food ordered by residents and guests to the table, and demonstrate a courteous and considerate manner to all guests.
4. Clear prior course dishes before serving the next course.
5. Clear tables at the end of the meal and pre-set table for the next meal service.
6. Perform cleaning responsibilities as assigned and ensure that the dining room is maintained in a sanitary and orderly manner.
7. Perform any assigned cleaning tasks and/or side jobs.
8. Attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
9. Knowledge of food handling and infection control, including HACCP standards.
10. Assist with preparation of food items as assigned.
11. Adhere to department standards of dress.
12. Follow directions and systems as indicated.
13. Stock salad bar according to diagram.
14. Perform duties in a team environment.
15. Safely operate all job related food service equipment.
16. Perform other duties as required.

Education
Must be a minimum of fourteen (14) years of age.
Language Ability
This position requires the ability to read, comprehend and retain instructions that apply to work procedures; communicate effectively with people of all professional and social levels; must be able to see and read instructions; ability to hear normal volume sounds and voice patterns with constant background noise; must be able to receive and follow verbal and written instructions; and, must be able to read regular and small size print. This individual must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner in order to communicate with residents, employees, family members, volunteers and the public.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to remember multiple assignments over an extended period of time. This position is subject to frequent interruptions. Must have the ability to appropriately perceive and respond to an emergency situation.
Computer Skills
Basic Computer Skills Utilizing Data/word Processing And Spreadsheet Abilities.

Founded in 1935, the Community at Rockhill (www.communityatrockhill.org) is a residential community for adults 65 and older located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a Life Plan Community, Rockhill offers a continuum of care that includes Residential Living, Personal Care for adults who need assistance with daily activities, and Health Care for individuals in need of 24-hour support.
