Berry Recruitment are looking for 7.5T drivers in the Aylesbury are to deliver and install varied products to customers homes, so good customer service is essential.
Job description
1. To safely deliver, install and demonstrate White Goods, Televisions and Cookers in our customers property
2. Engaging with customers, keeping them informed and ensuring their delivery and our installation is carried out to the highest standard following best practice guidance
3. To maintain regular contact with your site throughout the day to meet any changes to a customer delivery request, discussing and escalating unplanned issues, seeking guidance and adapting as necessary
4. To ensure the hand held operating device (Savvy) is always used correctly by completing visits and obtaining customer signatures
5. To liaise with Manufacturers at the point of delivery when necessary
6. To handle all products safely and with care, supporting your colleagues to do the same
7. Able to meet the physical requirements of the role
8. To ensure you follow continuous professional development, maintaining your driving license and ensuring required training and knowledge is kept up to date
9. Manage changing volumes of load held in the vehicle during the day. Regularly review, adjust, and secure the load to ensure safety whilst using equipment provided (i.e., straps and sack barrows)
10. To ensure full compliance with all transport legislation and law.
11. To work compliantly, following driving regulations, site specific requirements, company and health and safety policies, to keep our Customers and Colleagues safe
12. To always drive safely, showing respect and courtesy to other road users
13. To represent the external face of our client, acting as a brand ambassador by role modelling our values and demonstrating our customer’s first behaviours
14. To carry out the delivery and collection of tote boxes and products from our retail stores.
Requirements
15. A passion for delivering excellent customer service
16. Strong verbal communication, both on the phone and face-to-face in our customer's home
17. To work flexibly, alone or collaboratively with colleagues, to ensure we win together
18. To utilise equipment and correctly handle products to ensure best practice for a safe delivery e.g., following manual handling and Health and Safety training
19. Takes responsibility for own learning and help us become the home for the best talent
20. Previous experience driving a 7.5t vehicle
21. Ability to use initiative to problem solve in a timely and calm manner to ensure both business and customer needs are satisfied
22. A Full UK/EU C1 driving license (with a maximum of 6 penalty point), or meet criteria to work towards license
23. Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence Qualification (DCPC)
24. Driver Qualification Card (DQC) - Desirable
25. Valid Digital Tachograph card
Hours
26. Tuesday to Saturday between 6.30-18.30
27. Finish times may vary as deliveries have to be completed
Pay
28. £14.62-18.38
