As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report directly to the Finance Manager, playing a key role in the financial operations of the business. Key Responsibilities: Purchase Ledger Maintaining accurate Purchase Ledger accounts Ensuring invoices are secured, checked, matched, coded and inputted into the accounts system accurately and in a timely manner. Ensuring VAT on all purchase invoices is correct. Filing of purchase ledger invoices Consulting with other departments such as Purchasing and Stores to ensure goods are booked in correctly. Dealing with internal and external purchase ledger & invoice queries within 2 weeks of receipt Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Bookkeeping Day to day double entry bookkeeping. To check, input and pay expense claims. To assist in maintaining accounting records. To adhere to company quality and legal requirements. Maintain confidentiality of information and integrity. Assist in any other financial duties as required. Requirements: AAT Qualification level 1 minimum. Understanding and be able to abide by the AAT Code of Ethics. To be a good team player, but also be able to work alone when necessary Have effective communication skills. Capable to hold themselves and others accountable.
