Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Disability Service Department: Children and Families Location: Southwell, Nottinghamshire Salary: £50,788 Are you an experienced leader passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? We are looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to lead and manage a team within a regulated service for young people in our Children’s Disability Service. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality care standards in line with the Children’s and Families Department Quality Care Standards & Regulations 2015. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Assistant Care Managers and other employees to deliver service targets. Resolve service delivery issues effectively within available resources. Enhance staff performance and development through regular communication, guidance, and support. Improve customer satisfaction levels and ensure a high standard of care. Act as a professional role model, demonstrating a proactive “can-do” attitude. Manage assigned budgets and take corrective action when necessary, in liaison with the Service Manager. Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, carers, colleagues, and professionals. Keep the Service Manager informed of any operational changes or concerns regarding customer satisfaction. Key Accountabilities: Achieve service targets within agreed resources. Ensure effective supervision of staff to maintain high performance levels. Manage and deploy allocated budgets efficiently. Identify and escalate any performance concerns to the Service Manager. Represent the service within and outside the department, participating in management processes and forums. Ensure compliance with Employee Performance Reviews, business plans, and strategic service development. Take immediate action on any safeguarding issues, following all policies and procedures. Develop and optimise staff and resources in alignment with identified priorities. Who We Are Looking For: Experience in a leadership or management role within a regulated children’s service. Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant care standards. Ability to manage budgets, staff performance, and service improvements.
