Fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent Legal Counsel role with Smart DCC. As Legal Counsel you will be given the opportunity to work in a constantly evolving sector and make a difference to the de-carbonisation of Great Britain, by solving complicated legal problems in a fascinating and fast-paced regulated environment.
What will you be doing?
* Business partnering and stakeholder management, you will need to develop into a business partner that is pragmatic, empathetic to stakeholders objectives and works collaboratively with their stakeholders to reach optimal solutions quickly in a complex stakeholder environment.
* Lead on high value transactions and advise stakeholders on a range of commercial and legal issues, typically involving outsourcing/managed services, telecommunications and technology (cloud, data, hosting, IT infrastructure, information security, software, networks and professional services).
* Able to advise on a broad range of issues, from regulatory, privacy, employment and disputes.
* Work with other members of the Legal Senior Leadership team to evolve our function so that we continuously improve in the way that we deliver legal services.
* Open to feedback and being coached, trained and developed so that they can be on a path to being a senior legal counsel and interfacing with senior leaders in the business so that they understand and help solve their business problems.
What are we looking for?
* Extensive experience in a Legal Counsel role
* Is passionate about self improvement and being a team player so that they and the legal team continuously evolve and improve.
* A proactive, customer centric, solution oriented and intellectually curious problem-solver, able to distil complex legal issues into actionable, pragmatic, risk-based advice.
* Must be capable of operating at a senior level with c-suite and stakeholders, with good stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness and the ability to see and grasp the bigger picture.
* Must be able to handle pressure and competing/changing demands and enjoy working in a collegiate and fun team who support each other.
* You must enjoy the productivity and lifestyle benefits of working in a hybrid environment, coming to our London office 2 days per week on average (or no less than eight times per month) to deepen their knowledge of the business and their relationship with their stakeholders.
