What the Job Involves In this role, you will serve as a Specialist Resettlement Housing Coordinator within the Homeless Casework Service. Your main responsibilities include delivering specialist homelessness casework for single homeless applicants with complex support needs, particularly those exiting from institutions like prisons and hospitals. You will ensure all casework processes comply with relevant legislation, policies, and strategies, and manage risks by creating comprehensive assessments and Personal Housing Plans (PHP). You will contribute to developing best practices in safeguarding within the wider Housing Advisory Service, and maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant client records. Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, you will attend multi-agency meetings, and coordinate support services in line with PHP requirements. As a Specialist Resettlement Housing Coordinator, you will report to the Resilience and Resettlement Team Leader, attend relevant service/team meetings, and occasionally deputize for the Team Leader. The role also includes one day of work in the office and likely one day in a hospital setting. Your commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, along with your accountability for organizational health and safety and information security, is essential in supporting the community within this crucial capacity.
