An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to come and join our Emergency Department (ED).
The ED at The Royal Glamorgan Hospital is a busy department within a large district general hospital. The unit consists of a minor injuries area, majors areas and an adult and paediatric resuscitation area.
We are seeking to recruit a Band 5 Registered Nurse with experience of caring for patients with acute and life threatening illness or injury who are able to assess and plan care for patients who attend ED.
Main duties of the job
The post requires an individual that is motivated, self-driven, and will develop personally and professionally. The Emergency Department works closely with AMU and SDEC as part of the Medical Model that focuses on patient flow.
The department also has a designated minor injuries unit which provides the opportunity for staff to gain knowledge and experience in minor injuries/illnesses. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £30,420 to £37,030 a year, pro rata if part-time.
