We’re looking for a talented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team at one of Scotland’s leading firms of chartered accountants and financial advisors.
Based in Glasgow, you'll play a key role in supporting a diverse range of clients—from small start-ups to large groups across various sectors—providing expert technical payroll support.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar payroll bureau role
* Proficiency in payroll systems (BrightPay experience is a plus)
* Strong understanding of current payroll legislation
* Solid Excel skills and experience in data analysis
* Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex matters clearly to clients
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Main Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processes for a diverse client base, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SPP, Pension Schemes, CIS Returns, and handle RTI, Auto-enrolment, and Tax Year End processes
* Client Support: Provide expert technical support on payroll-related queries
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and best practices
* Mentoring: Train and coach payroll administrators within the team.
