Job summary The Command and Control centre at Watford General Hospital are recruiting. We are looking for an experienced Bed and Site Manager who is motivated, energetic, an expert problem solver and who enjoys working as part of a team, but also thrives on independent decision making. The Clinical Bed and Site Manager's role is pivotal in ensuring the patient is admitted in a timely manner, receives the right treatment in the right place and expertly communicates to all stakeholders. We are looking for someone who cares about the patient in their hospital, who will be proactive and challenge any delays. Main duties of the job You will take responsibility for leading the capacity team on a daily basis, facilitating patient flow across all specialities in the trust to promote positive patient outcomes and ultimately enhancing the patient's hospital journey. Working closely with the divisional management teams, you will support the trust to achieve both urgent care and elective quality targets. The clinical bed and site manager role is diverse and you will need to be flexible and adaptable in an ever changing environment, with an ability to remain composed during periods of extreme pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are an essential requirement of the role, in order to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders. Working shifts, providing 24/7 cover across both of our hospitals, you will provide out of hours senior nursing support and clinical advice to all areas within the trust and be the responder in the event of a Critical/Major Incident.
