MERITUS are recruiting for a Material Controller to join our client within the Energy and Nuclear space in a permanent role from their site in Staffordshire. MATERIAL CONTROLLER - £28,000 PER ANNUM - STONE, STAFFORDSHIRE - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS Reporting directly to the Stores Team Leader, this role is a key part of the team responsible for managing and controlling materials within the stores for our client. The position involves handling deliveries, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the availability of required components for production teams. Key Responsibilities Receiving and verifying deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and properly stored. Updating and maintaining the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for inventory control. Organizing and storing materials to ensure easy identification and preservation of condition. Collaborating with production teams and engineers to provide necessary components in alignment with project timelines. Managing material distribution while maintaining full traceability. Ordering and monitoring stock levels of consumables not covered by consignment agreements. Issuing and tracking Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for employees. Overseeing the calibration of tools and equipment, ensuring records are up to date. Work Schedule This is primarily a weekday position, although occasional weekend work may be required. Standard hours: Monday - Thursday (08:00 - 16:30, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) Friday rotation: Week 1 (08:00 - 13:30), Week 2 (08:00 - 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch) Personal Attributes Professional, organized, and methodical approach to work.
