As a Security Assurance Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking and participating in the Level 1 assurance programme for both nuclear and non-nuclear security internal audit reviews across HMNB Clyde, supporting the Security Assurance Authority and the two Security Assurance Managers within the Team. You will also assist in the planning and delivery of Level 2 and 3 security assurance in conjunction with Defence Nuclear Organisation Security Assurance (level 2) and the Defence Nuclear Security Regulator (level 3).
As SAO, you will request, triage, collate and maintain evidence for submission to our Security Assurance systems, principally the security incidents management system and on the Forward Action Plan management system which collates the observations captured from assurance reviews. You will also collate evidence on our MSTeams site in readiness for reviews by the Defence Nuclear Security Regulator. All of these taskings will require you to work collaboratively and sensitively with other members of the Clyde Security Organisation, wider HMNB Clyde teams and our governing Regulatory bodies to progress the closure of incidents, observations and recommendations.
Alongside accompanying the Security Assurance Managers on planned and reactive assurance activities, you will be responsible for liaising with units to agree and initiate an appropriate review timescale to instigate unit assessments utilising our our self-assessment assurance questionnaire. On return of the questionnaire, you will assess and brief the results to the wider Assurance Team highlighting any observations raised, ensure any observations have appropriate follow-up reviews in place and add them to the Assurance Forward Action Plan.
You will work in conjunction with the wider Assurance Team to provide cohesive briefing documents for the regular drumbeat of engagement activity of the Team including
discussions with Navy Command on triaging incidents, updates with our security cohorts in units around HMNB Clyde to review current security activity and the evidence required for our Regulatory Interface meetings held with the Defence Nuclear Security Regulator.
You will also undertake other assurance tasking as required by the Security Assurance Authority and Security Assurance Managers.
