The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for a motivated Research Technician with GMP experience to join our Scientific Preparation team in Macclesfield. The main purpose of this role is to carry out daily manufacture of products to a consistently high standard - in line with SHE, GMP & local agreements, and using the customer electronic laboratory notebook system. Activities include accurately weighing and batch recording chemicals, product manufacture, dispensing, and liquid measuring techniques, as well as preventative maintenance, calibration and operation of laboratory equipment (pH meters, balances). This role will be a full-time permanent position based at our customer's site in Macclesfield. This team is responsible for preparing buffers, medias, reagents, and solutions used across laboratories on-site. You will be part of our Lab and Production Services department, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories around the world, advancing research and development in the Life Sciences industry. What we're looking for? Education: Educated to a Degree level in a scientific subject Experience: At least one year of operational GMP laboratory experience Strong understanding of scientific product preparation (media, buffer, eluent, mobile phases) A good understanding of the importance of Health and Safety within the laboratory Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Excellence in the use of IT systems and O365 platforms How you will thrive and create an impact?
