JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for a highly-motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our expanding data team based in Fishersgate, Brighton. This is a great entry-level role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for validating data for our activity invoices and will also help to improve the performance against the national 18-week RTT target, ensuring that patients progress along the appropriate care pathway and that all waiting time targets are met.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical skills working with data. You will work with a wide range of staff across all levels of the business to resolve any data quality issues or mistakes in the Electronic Patient Record (SystmOne).
This post involves a large amount of data validation and correction, which corresponds to time spent working with display-screen equipment.
The role would ideally suit someone who has relevant experience in a data validation or a record-checking role in a healthcare setting, but full training and regular supervision will be provided on our in-house reporting systems and clinical software for a successful applicant.
For this post, you should ideally have knowledge of RTT pathways although training will be given. Computer literacy – with experience in using Word, Excel, and Outlook – is essential.
Strong attention to detail is vital in this role, along with the ability to prioritise and organise your own workload. You’ll also need great communication skills – both verbally and written. A team player, you’ll have a flexible, polite, and positive attitude.
