NRL have an excellent opportunity for a Piping Engineer for work based in the Northwest on a 6 month contract. Our client is an international company providing technical, engineering & construction services predominantly in the nuclear sector.
About the role:
This role requires plant and piping design activities as a member of a taskforce under guidance and to cooperate with multi-discipline designers. Responsibilities include plant and piping design work within 3D integrated design systems, self-quality review check for 3D modelling and piping deliverables, participation in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations, and assistance in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects.
Requirements:
1. Preferably a bachelor’s in Mechanical/Piping Engineering with experience in piping engineering/design ideally in the built environment industry. 5+ years’ experience.
2. Proficient user of Plant 3D (P&ID's, Isometric production).
3. Experience in equipment layout, piping design, and pipe supports.
4. Very good skills in CAD software (AutoCAD) and MS Office suite (Word, Excel).
5. Good English level - written and spoken.
6. Knowledge of piping specific design standards (EN and ASME).
7. Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
8. Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills and has the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
