NES Fircroft are hiring Senior Process Engineers on behalf of our client, a leading Oil & Gas Operator.
The opportunity is working out of the head office in Norwich; therefore, we are looking for people who reside in the area or are open to relocation.
The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose solutions to process engineering issues for onshore and offshore assets (gas treatment plants, oil & gas producing and separation facilities, water treatment, various utilities). A pragmatic approach to technical solutions will always be applied, and this approach should be encouraged within the Process Team.
Experience/Qualifications Preferred:
* Experience in a technical role in the upstream Oil and Gas industry with a focus on gas processing.
* Experience with brownfield modifications and aging fields.
* Degree or equivalent in Process/Chemical Engineering.
* Good all-round experience from conceptual design to installation/start-up supervision.
* Strong analytical capacity and critical thinking.
* Good working knowledge of HYSYS and OLGA.
* Knowledge of applicable codes.
* Hands-on approach.
* Understand types of equipment used, sizing equipment for various scenarios.
* Ability to perform simulations using HYSYS.
* PSV/Blow down calculations, including good hands-on experience of sizing vessels, control valves, and pumps.
* Good knowledge of compressors.
* Good knowledge of water treatment processes.
* Actively participate in design safety reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA studies & SIL reviews and provide solutions to raised issues. Build HYSYS and other modeling tools to simulate facilities performance and provide analysis.
* Produce and deliver any process engineering deliverables as required (PFD, P&ID, calculation notes, Basis of design, various philosophies, procedures, operating instructions, etc.).
* Troubleshoot facility operational problems and develop recommendations for resolving issues experienced on site. Build OLGA model and run flow assurance calculations. Slug management in gas line experience.
* Guide and mentor Junior process engineers.
* Ensure process engineering solutions comply with all health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
