As the Staff Product Designer for the International Design System at Gousto, you’ll shape and scale a global design system that ensures consistency, accessibility, and adaptability across markets. Collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Brand, you’ll drive adoption, establish best practices, and balance global standards with local flexibility.
Beyond design systems, you’ll lead the end-to-end design process for the Expand tribe, defining experiments to improve customer experience (CX) and commercial performance in new markets. As a key design leader, you’ll help elevate design excellence across teams, mentoring designers and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities:
* Lead and evolve Gousto’s International Design System, ensuring it supports multi-market needs while maintaining a high standard of design quality.
* Define scalable design patterns that accommodate cultural differences, local user behaviours, and regional accessibility requirements.
* Define success metrics for the design system and continuously refine it based on feedback, research, and evolving business needs.
* Co-shape the vision & strategy for our international expansion tribe, considering the broader context of the customer experience and the business.
* Lead the end-to-end design process, validate your solutions with users and customers, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Who You Are:
* A design systems leader with a proven track record of driving consistency, scalability, and accessibility within in-house teams.
* An expert in componentisation, documentation, governance, and adoption strategies, ensuring design systems are both effective and widely embraced.
* Proactive and growth-oriented, always challenging yourself and your team to improve.
* Comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous problems, turning them into clear, actionable solutions.
* A strong communicator across written, verbal, and visual formats, ensuring alignment and clarity.
* A supportive and kind team player, fostering a culture of collaboration and emotional safety.
