About the Role
We are looking for a proactive HR Administrator to join our People team and deliver the HR administrative processes across the entire employee lifecycle, taking a customer first, continuous improvement approach to all that you do.
This is a part-time, 15 hours per week role based at our office in Barnsley.
The responsibilities and duties of the role are
Ownership of the HR queries inbox actioning employee queries, providing bespoke guidance and escalating complex queries to the Finance and Operations Director
Ensuring all HR documentation is filed and maintained as required on the HR platform
Preparation of all monthly and annual HR reports using the HR platform
Leading onboarding process, including preparation of offer letters, employment contracts and reference checks and right to work checks
Creating and maintaining up-to-date employee files on HR platform
Ownership of all forms and workflows in HR platform
Oversee student training administration and exam support
Ownership of Team Handbook ensuring policies are kept up to date to ensure a positive work environment and compliance with UK employment law
Administering and monitoring annual declarations in line with industry regulations.
Suggesting and supporting to implement improvements to HR processes and documents.
Supporting the annual performance review process
Supporting disciplinary, grievance procedures e.g. minute taking.
Participating in the delivery of HR projects and other ad hoc activity
About You
Previous experience in HR administration or significant experience in office administration required
Experience working with HR systems (desirable)
Good understanding of UK employment law (desirable)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage your time and prioritise tasks effectively
Intermediate to advanced IT skills Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
It is likely that the role could develop in the future, should you wish to pursue a professional HR qualification and take on more responsibility
