Qualifications
There are various pathways to become a building surveyor. Typically, you need at least 4 GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent.
Level 3:
You can study a BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment or an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Surveying & Property Maintenance.
Levels 4, 5 & 6:
You can pursue a HNC, HND, Higher Apprenticeship, or Degree in Construction and the Built Environment, Building Surveying, or related fields.
Salary
* Newly trained building surveyors can earn £19,000 - £25,000
* Trained building surveyors with some experience can earn £25,000 - £35,000
* Senior building surveyors can earn £35,000 - £70,000
