At Pathways Education, we are redefining what it means to create a truly supportive and inspiring workplace. As a trauma-informed special school, we are committed to providing a personalised education experience for young people aged 9-16 who have faced barriers in mainstream and SEN education. Our learners, many of whom have moderate learning difficulties, are given the care and opportunities they need to rebuild confidence, rediscover learning, and succeed. We are committed to the wellbeing and development of our staff as much as our learners. At Pathways, you’ll find:
* Generous PPA time so you can focus on creating engaging and personalised learning experiences.
* Dedicated time for collaborative and creative planning with your team to consider and respond to individual needs.
* Opportunities to shape your own growth through high-quality professional development and ongoing support.
* By joining us, you become part of a nurturing and innovative team that values creativity, teamwork, and resilience. Together, we are building a learning environment where everyone – staff and students alike – can thrive.
We are seeking motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic teachers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of marginalised young people. You will deliver Project-Based Learning alongside core subjects at Key Stage 2/3, working in a small, dynamic setting where your creativity and ideas will be celebrated. Successful candidates will:
* Be team players who are organised and committed to high-quality teaching.
* Be resilient and adaptable, with a positive approach to challenges.
* Have experience working with SEN students or in SEN settings (essential).
* Share our commitment to trauma-informed practice (training and support provided).
As part of the Pathways team, you’ll work in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment, ensuring that every young person receives the care and attention they need to re-engage and succeed. We believe that happy, supported, fulfilled staff are key to delivering exceptional education. That’s why we offer:
* High levels of PPA and non-contact time, giving you the space to plan and reflect meaningfully.
* Dedicated time for team collaboration, ensuring you can tailor your approach to each student’s unique needs.
* A strong commitment to your professional growth, with a comprehensive CPD programme and high-quality coaching.
* A wellbeing-focused ethos, including events, support from a Wellbeing Governor, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
* Opportunities to work with like-minded professionals in other schools and settings, building a network of expertise.
* A personal Microsoft device to support your teaching and development.
* A leadership team that’s approachable, values-driven, and dedicated to your success.
We are a values-based organisation, putting wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be joining a team that not only values your contribution but actively invests in your personal and professional success. Applications are welcome from both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators. Please note that candidates must have QTS and be available for in-person interviews.
