Trefoil Tutors are looking to employ a full-time Operations Manager to join our team starting in April / May 2025.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of all day-to-day operational processes within the company, as well as managing a team of 3-5 members of staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Managing the office team to ensure efficient work processes and accountability
2. Managing effective allocation and implementation of tasks through the use of our project management software
3. Regularly evaluating the efficiency of work processes and proposing improvements
4. Evaluating team performance and providing regular constructive feedback
5. Coordinating cover options and providing ad-hoc cover for office team roles when needed
6. Implementing HR and H&S processes across the company and keeping policies up-to-date
7. Undertaking an individual project within the company (assigned in consultation with the Director about areas of interest and key skills)
Required
1. A degree or equivalent and relevant professional qualifications
2. Experience in managing operational processes
3. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
4. Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
5. Excellent time management skills with ability to set priorities
6. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite
7. Proven work experience in a similar role
8. Experience working in the education sector – whether paid or voluntary
WORKING LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
The role is based in our office in Borehamwood (5 Theobald Court, Theobald Street, WD6 4RN). The contract is based on 43 weeks in a calendar year following our termly schedule, with the potential for additional work to be undertaken as and when required.
Our working hours are 12pm-9:30pm on weekdays, 9:30am-1:30pm on Saturdays and 9:30am-9:15pm on Sundays; specific working hours will be agreed upon with the successful candidate.
SALARY
We offer an annual salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 FTE (calculated on a pro-rata basis) dependent on the candidate's skills and experience.
START DATE
The ideal candidate will be ready to start the role as soon as possible; however, the start date can be negotiated with the right candidate. The role is permanent with a six-month probation period. The role is subject to successful reference checks and an Enhanced DBS check.
