Postdoctoral Research Assistants in Ocean and Climate Dynamics – University of Oxford
Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral Research Assistant positions in Ocean and Climate Dynamics:
1. Heat Uptake (Vacancy ID: 133554) - The post is available for up to 3 years. This project will focus on understanding patterns of ocean heat content (OHC) changes, using new observations and estimates of OHC, and conceptual models. The successful candidate will join the Climate & Ocean Physics Group led by Prof Zanna as part of the NERC-funded TICTOC (Transient tracer-based Investigation of Circulation and Thermal Ocean Change) project coordinated by Dr. Elaine McDonagh (NOC). The TICTOC team includes six UK institutions and several international partners.
2. Sea Level Projections (Vacancy ID: 133484) - The post is available for up to 2 years. This project will focus on understanding projections of ocean circulation change and regional dynamic sea level. The successful candidate will join the Climate & Ocean Physics Group led by Prof Zanna as part of the NERC-funded UK-FAFMIP (The Flux-Anomaly-Forced Model Intercomparison Project) contribution to CMIP6, coordinated by Prof Jonathan Gregory (Reading).
