What it's like to work here:
Nestled on the edge of the stunning Peak District between Sheffield and Hathersage, the beautiful Longshaw Estate welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. We invested in a new, enlarged café just over 3 years ago, and are now looking to add a Team Leader to our friendly team, focusing on quick and efficient service in the main outlet.
What you'll be doing:
As a Team Leader, you'll support your team daily to ensure they deliver excellent service to all visitors. The environment is busy and lively, so adaptability is key. Your main focus will be front of house, engaging directly with customers and serving food and drinks. A love for working with people, a positive attitude, and a commitment to outstanding service are essential. You'll ensure all displays and signage are accurate and attractive, and may assist the kitchen with food preparation at times. Additionally, you'll supervise the induction and training of colleagues, helping to build a dedicated team. We will provide a tailored induction, training in allergens and food safety, and mentoring as needed. Further professional development opportunities are available if you wish.
Who we're looking for:
No prior experience is required, but we welcome applications from those who are:
* Friendly and adaptable, with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
* Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
* A people person, who communicates well and provides excellent service.
* Knowledgeable about health and safety compliance.
* A problem solver, capable of leading and supporting a team daily.
The package includes:
* Substantial pension scheme of up to 10% of basic salary.
* Free entry to National Trust places for you, a guest, and your children (under 18).
* Rental deposit loan scheme.
* Season ticket loan.
* EV car lease scheme.
* Perks at work discounts, including gym memberships, shopping discounts, and cinema deals.
* Holiday entitlement up to 32 days, plus holiday purchase scheme, subject to eligibility.
* Flexible working arrangements where possible.
* Employee assistance programme.
* Free parking at most Trust locations.
