The Headteacher and Governing Body of Cwm Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational Deputy Headteacher who will play a key role in the young people’s educational journey and who will be an integral part of the school community.
We are a thriving and happy school, with 227 pupils on roll (including nursery) and a caring and dedicated team of teaching and support staff. Our school motto is Reach for The Stars and we are looking for another incredible teacher to help us continue to give all our young people, and their families, the very best opportunities.
We are keen to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who will join us at this exciting time of the school’s development and who will work to achieve and maintain high standards; to inspire, motivate, nurture and support staff and pupils. As we embrace the Curriculum for Wales, the successful candidate will play a key role in bringing our school’s vision to life—where every individual is encouraged to make the most of their talents and take pride in being part of our community.
Cwm Primary is a vibrant, supportive, and thriving school at the heart of our community, and we’re seeking someone with a true passion for making a positive impact on the lives of our young people.
You could be the one for us, if you:
1. Are a caring, reflective and excellent practitioner who truly places the wellbeing of our young people at the heart of your practice.
2. Have a passion for teaching, and high aspirations for all pupils.
3. Are an inspirational leader, able to empower and motivate staff.
4. Know how to design, plan and provide inclusive, authentic teaching and learning experiences which enable children to realise the four purposes in their learning.
5. Have up to date knowledge and understanding of the National Mission for Wales.
6. Are a strategic thinker with proven leadership experience and good interpersonal skills.
7. Are confident and are able to communicate with all of our school community.
8. Are excited by the future of education in Wales, and its potential to shape successful futures for the children in our school community.
The Governors will provide good support for the successful candidate who will demonstrate a strong commitment to working closely with them to provide high quality leadership and the best possible education for our young people.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
