Customer
Our Customer team is at the heart of building trusted and valued relationships with our customers. On this programme, you'll get involved in different elements of marketing, from brand strategy and marketing to customer loyalty. Fundamental to your learning experience will be gaining knowledge of how customer data and insight fuel decision making and shape the relationships we have with our customers in a personalised way.
Whichever function you follow, by the end of your programme you will have gained all the necessary skills and knowledge you need to set you up for success.
Who we are looking for
We're looking for grads with a passion for developing our brand and always putting the customer first. It's not essential that you have any previous experience, but it definitely helps if you have a creative mind and are curious about market trends and changes.
Working at our Welwyn Garden City campus
Our leafy, green campus is 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs, and sports facilities. Close to the A1, and with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well connected to the surrounding area.
On campus, you'll find subsidised restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. We also have a place where colleagues can connect and come together to unlock innovation and collaboration, and a place where they can network and socialise. Plus we have an on-site Nuffield Health gym, which has state-of-the-art equipment, studios for classes, plus treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).
Your experience with us
Welcome! We'll kick off with you spending some time learning more about our business and your programme. It's a great opportunity for you to meet other grads and make some new connections. We'll then introduce you to your team so you can get to know more about your role and the area you'll be working in.
You'll start off by spending 12 weeks in stores; this is a great opportunity to really understand and get involved in what our colleagues do every day to serve our customers and communities.
You'll gain a breadth of product experience and skills as you complete a number of placements in different parts of either our food buying or supply chain areas.
There are a wide variety of job opportunities for you to apply for as you finish your programme. There's also an opportunity to complete a post-programme senior leader level 7 apprenticeship, with a possibility to top up to an MBA, helping you to accelerate your knowledge, skills, and behaviours to help you become a future leader in our business.
