The Role
The Senior Finance Analyst at Bentley Motors delivers accurate financial information and analysis to support planning and decision-making. This role involves preparing reports, coordinating planning processes, and identifying financial risks and opportunities. The analyst ensures efficiency and compliance with IFRS, provides expert advice, and communicates complex financial data effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate and timely budgets, plans, and forecasts. Ensure month-end processing adheres to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Prepare and present audit reconciliations to both external (PWC) and internal auditors. Set up new business activities in SAP for accurate financial reporting. Analyse variances against budget forecasts and explain reasons. Conduct budget holder reviews to ensure understanding of expenditures. Identify risks and opportunities, suggesting counter-measures. Communicate risks or deviations to senior management and finance teams. Coordinate local planning, reforecasting, and budgeting. Develop and manage inputs from customers. Align to business targets and challenge areas to realise opportunities. Provide expertise for business decisions, ensuring data quality and highlighting conflicts. Support functions with scenario modelling and evaluation of outputs. Propose alternative solutions based on knowledge and experience. Authorise expenditure within budget in line with company policy and legislation. Support budgetary management and control, identifying and resolving risks and opportunities. Educate budget holders on process adherence for efficiency. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations for taxable and capital expenditures. Record financial transactions in SAP, including accruals and prepaymentsKey Competencies & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of financial accounting processes and business impact. Demonstrable experience in a finance environment, preferably within the automotive industry. Proficiency in data modelling and business analysis to support decision-making. Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel and enterprise resource planning systems like SAP. Experience with business planning tools such as Cognos. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to various audiences. Proven ability to work effectively across functions.
