Are you ready to combine your expertise in planning, procurement, and/or project coordination with a role that delivers real social impact? Join us as a Senior Social Value Advisor in our pre-construction team and help shape the future of communities across the UK.
At Laing O'Rourke, we believe in building more than just infrastructure—we build opportunities, support communities, and create lasting socio-economic benefits. This role offers the chance to embed meaningful change into the very fabric of what we do, from the earliest stages of our projects.
The Role: Driving Social Value from the Ground Up
As Senior Social Value Advisor, you will be the critical bridge between our work-winning efforts and successful project delivery. You'll ensure social value commitments are embedded into our processes from the outset, enabling our project teams to deliver measurable and meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities;
Strategic Coordination: Partner with pre-construction teams and leadership to identify and deliver social value requirements during the PCSA phase.
Social Value Planning: Develop comprehensive Social Value Plans, aligning client KPIs, Section 106 agreements, and broader community goals.
Embedding Processes: Work closely with procurement managers to integrate social value into supply chain packages and governance structures.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers
Governance & Delivery: Set up governance structures, negotiate KPIs, and ensure processes are in place to deliver on commitments.
Data Management: Oversee data handling and reporting to ensure compliance and measure impact.
Location: This role can be based at either our Sale or Dartford offices, with occasional travel to regional and project offices across the UK. Proximity to our Sale office, where many of our current Social Value Leads are based, would be advantageous.
