We are looking for Support Workers to join our well-established team in Dumfries supporting a young man with a variety of support needs to lead his best life in his own home.
A bit about the young man you would be supporting:
“I am 34 years old, and have autism. I live around 15 minutes outside Dumfries on my families smallholding where I have my own house. I enjoy working outside, I’m interested in DIY and gardening and you may be asked to support me with these tasks. My family are a big part of my life and very involved on a daily basis.”
Experience of working with people with autism is preferred, although not essential. A driving licence and access to a car is preferred due to the rural location. We can offer flexible hours across 7 days on a rota basis.
Don’t worry if you do not have a drivers licence or experience! We would still love to hear from you as we have vacancies throughout our Nithsdale Services.
Our teams know that good support is essential for a good life, and so we work alongside every person we support and their family to help them live life to the full. The films at the bottom of this page will tell you more about us and what it means to be a support worker. You can also check out the support worker job descriptions for both Key and Community Lifestyles for more details on the job itself.
We are here to help, so please get in touch if you have any questions - email us at or call .
