Our North Kent based client has had an impressive year on year growth trajectory and are now seeking a Financial Controller to join them on a full time and permanent basis.
Job Description
1. Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including the preparation of monthly management accounts and monthly payroll.
2. Business partnering with the commercial operations team.
3. Preparation and submission of HMRC reports as required, VAT and CIS returns.
4. Oversee the development and implementation of best financial controls, processes, and procedures.
5. Bank reconciliations, credit control, and cashflow forecasting.
6. Leading the annual audit of the company.
7. Identify and drive efficiencies across the organisation to improve profitability.
8. Supervision of accounts assistant.
The Successful Applicant
1. Formally Qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) or an ambitious QBE/ Finalist.
2. Strong Management Accounting and Reporting experience, with expertise in financial controls, management reporting, cost analysis, and business partnering.
3. Previous people management experience.
4. A commercial mindset, able and willing to offer insight on both opportunities and potential risks.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Knowledge of CIS tax and reverse VAT charge is advantageous.
8. Must be willing to work onsite Monday to Friday.
