Location: Dudley - ability to work from home on an adhoc basis.

Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity to join a Chemical Manufacturing organisation in the Midlands. Due to retirement, this role is now open, and our client is looking to interview ASAP.
For this role, you need some management experience but also a technical/analytical mindset within the chemical industry. The main responsibility of this role is overseeing the quality control processes within the chemical manufacturing facility, but it also involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies and helping to support the QA manager.
Responsibilities
1. Managing a team of 9 QC analysts and shift inspectors and ensuring that all products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications.
2. Oversee the testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
3. Establish quality control procedures and protocols for chemical products.
4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
5. Help to develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system (QMS).
6. Provide training and development opportunities to the QC team.
7. Develop a culture of continuous improvement.
8. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results and data analysis.
9. Investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
10. Prepare and present reports on quality performance metrics and be able to present when required.
The Person
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Previous industrial experience within quality control at senior level within the chemical industry.
3. Previous management/leadership experience is a must.
4. Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and statistical analysis.
5. Familiarity of testing methods used in the chemical industry.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficient in quality management software and data analysis tools.
8. Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
9. Proactive problem solver.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
