The Mechanical Engineer will carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance engineer duties at our client's manufacturing plant near Bridgwater.
The Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will join the shift maintenance team in providing effective planned and reactive mechanical maintenance support. Your duties will include the following;
Planned and reactive maintenance and repair of modern production plant and machinery
Hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, compressors, motors
Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, cylinders etc etc
Welding & fabrication
Tool room work machining worn and /or replacement parts
Candidate:
You will be an experienced mechanical engineer preferably with previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
You will be a a qualified engineer holding as a minimum NVQ3 or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering, Time served engineers welcome to apply.
You will have good welding and tool room skills.
Hours of work:
12 hour shifts - 4 On / 4 Off Days / Nights
Overtime available

Excellent basic salary £50,700 + OT (Gross earnings £55K - £60K)
